Therapy for Personal Growth

Therapy offers an opportunity to explore ourselves in an intimate and ongoing way.  It offers a regular time and space for gaining self awareness and understanding of ourselves so that we can learn to respond to ourselves more compassionately and accurately.

When we have greater awareness of what makes us tick, and who we are, we are able to make choices that support us as well as manage our day to day lives in ways that are healthy, low in stress and satisfying.  We learn to take time for ourselves and to make space for the people and activities that really matter to us.

Therapy can help you fulfil your potential to lead a satisfying, resourceful and stimulating day to day life.  By taking time to consider yourself in a regular and consistent way you can structure your life the way you want within the limitations that exist.  In a way what many of us are looking for is expressed beautifully in the following prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr.

Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Therapy offers a space, time and relationship in which to learn to do exactly this.
